Agile Leadership: Does Gender Matter?
Anu Smalley and Kate Megaw explored the question of whether there is an imbalance between men and women or general gender differences in the areas of Agile Leadership, NewWork and Scrum in their presentation during the June event (Recap).
They presented their own empirical studies as well as qualitative analyses and a summary of the current situation based on these results. Anu & Kate found that women earn far less than their male colleagues and that it would take more than 100 years for this gender pay gap to close with the current trend.
All in all, the presentation highlighted many differences in the world of work, but at the same time gave courage with great examples from organizations as well as personal quotes and insights from them and the audience. The moderators Zuzi and Sohrab did a following Q&A with Anu and Kate that gave further answers from the audience and from these two.
