Karen Kemerling

Karen Kemerling, Ph.D., is the founder of K2 Leadership Development and a Certified Enterprise Coach® (CEC) with the Scrum Alliance. With more than three decades of leadership experience spanning roles such as engineer, director, CIO, COO, and president, Karen brings a wealth of practical knowledge to her coaching and training engagements.

Her expertise lies in fostering psychological safety within organizations, utilizing brain-based coaching techniques, and promoting agile leadership practices. Karen holds multiple certifications, including Neuroscience Certified Brain-Based Coach from the NeuroLeadership Institute, 4 Stages of Psychological Safety Certified Trainer and Coach from Leader Factor, and Certified Psychological Safety Practitioner from Amy Edmondson's Fearless Organization.

Karen's approach is deeply rooted in creating environments where leaders can embrace authenticity and drive meaningful change. She offers workshops and coaching sessions designed to enhance leadership agility, build high-performing teams, and navigate organizational complexities effectively.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Karen is an active member of the Generation Schools Network Board of Directors, focusing on social and emotional learning in K-12 education. Residing in Golden, Colorado, she enjoys outdoor activities and crafting handmade acoustic guitars.
