Dr. Jürgen Hoffmann

Dr. Jürgen Hoffmann is a seasoned Scrum Coach and Trainer with a solid foundation in semiconductor physics, holding a diploma and a PhD from the University of Karlsruhe. His journey in agile methodologies began in 2003, and he has been pivotal in implementing Scrum in various industries, including Automotive, Energy, Finance, IT & Internet, encompassing both software and hardware development.

Dr. Hoffmann's tenure at WEB.DE AG as a software developer, team leader, and senior manager saw the initiation and leadership of Scrum implementation for several software development teams in 2004. After leaving WEB.DE AG in 2005, he dedicated himself to coaching and training in Scrum, drawing on his extensive experience across different sectors and company sizes to enrich every training session with practical examples, case studies, and exercises.

In 2012, Dr. Hoffmann co-created an extensive ScrumMaster educational program that spans six months, featuring 18 training days and on-the-job coaching. Today, he serves as the Managing Director and Management Consultant at Emendare GmbH & Co KG, which he co-founded in 2013.

Community and Certifications: As a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Dr. Hoffmann is part of a robust community of over 450 Scrum trainers and coaches within the global Scrum Alliance®, where continuous improvement and exchange of training and consulting ideas occur. He co-founded the Karlsruhe Scrum User Group in 2009 with Heiko Stapf and has been actively organizing regular events. Since 2016, he has been a founding member and on the board of Scrum Alliance D-A-CH e.V., the German-speaking chapter of the Scrum Alliance.
