Ralph Jocham, with over 30 years in the IT industry, is a seasoned pioneer in Agile methodologies. As the founder and CEO of effective agile, he has been instrumental in advancing Agile, Lean, and Scrum practices across Europe since becoming the continent's first Professional Scrum Trainer accredited by Scrum.org in 2010. Ralph's diverse experience includes significant roles in software development, Agile training, and leadership. He has co-authored 'The Professional Product Owner', which has reached a global audience in multiple languages. His international exposure includes positions at Oracle, Applied Biosystems, and ThoughtWorks, where he has successfully implemented Agile strategies in environments demanding stringent regulatory compliance, such as those overseen by the FDA. Ralph’s training sessions, which number over 700, have benefited more than 10,000 individuals, showcasing his ability to translate complex Agile concepts into actionable strategies. Living in Bern with his family, Ralph is committed to a balanced life, enjoying sports, cooking, and ongoing personal and professional development. He remains actively involved in the Agile community, often sharing insights through guest lectures at universities.
